Nice restaurant with an extraordinary ambience. The staff was friendly and quick. The dishes were freshly prepared and served quickly. Price and performance are also right here. There is nothing to complain about.

This recommendable restaurant is very quaint but by no means musty! The service staff are courteous and lightning fast. It's best to make a reservation. We had been lucky at lunchtime on our way through. The food is delicious like at grandma's. Kudos to the kitchen staff, huge portions at very moderate prices, keep it up!

Great little restaurant, super cozy and quaint. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food is just first class. You can download the menu contactlessly on your mobile phone, but you can also have it handed to you by the staff.

The potato house is a dream. I have never eaten in a restaurant that is decorated with so much attention to detail. The menu is also a work of art. The food is very tasty, the portions could be a bit bigger. The service is very good, the staff is very friendly. Now in Corona times you feel safe in this restaurant. We'll be back to redeem our vouchers that were given for free.

Quaint restaurant, colorfully and comfortably decorated with lots of Eastern items. Was very busy, reservations on the weekend are recommended! Still great and very attentive service, no long wart time on the food. The food was delicious and of great quality! Gladly again!

It is a mystery to me how the many good reviews for this restaurant come about. (Self-written?) Yes, the interior is nicely done and the idea with the menu is good. But we haven't had such underground food in a long time, Grandma's brawn with fried potatoes Potatoes with peel + partially burnt, side salad is an impertinence Mini bowl with cauliflower which was days old, tartar sauce in the bowl already had skin + brown rim, (at 30 degrees outside temperature) carelessly arranged (a case for food control) Baked potatoes were not as usual one big, but two small halves with quark on top tasteless, associated chicken strips old + dry, almost burnt + tasteless.Roualde (5cm) with Thuringian dumplings was a children's portion (does not work.) and that with the advertisement (Internet) NEVER AGAIN.!!!! I get potato offers in every good restaurant. is basically a pimped up Ostalgie bar for tourists.

Very good food, nice and courteous service. The downside in this restaurant is the boss, who has never heard of Thuringian hospitality. After a nice evening we were driven out by him 1 hour before closing by switching off the lights. Apparently he didn't want to earn any more money.

I would rather give a euphoric review as I was really looking forward to the visit to the potato house. We had inattentive service, sat a few times for a long time without being paid attention, for example to order, to reorder and in front of empty plates. And no, it wasn't full. Opinions about the food were mixed at our table. My casserole could have used a lot more flavor but at least spice. We'll come again and maybe it'll be better.

As the name suggests, don't go here if you're not a fan of potatoes. Food was nice but a bit too many potatoes for my personal liking. Our waiter was a bit curt, but another waiter was really friendly. Vegetarian options available.

Great ambience. It is worth going there just for the facilities. Homely and lots to discover. Very charming with a lot of GDR influence and a great penchant for detail. A very nice pub, perfect for long evenings with friends. The food was very good (with an extra vegan menu) and everything was tasty. Also in terms of price.

Top! Nothing to complain about. Friendly and fast service. The food was bombshell especially the fried potatoes and the dessert! Potato balls with vanilla ice cream. hot! Will eat here again on our next visit to Eisenach!

Very eclectic place with good food!

this is a very sweet and cosy place to eat food. I like the decorations in the restaurant. the Food is ok, my order with porksteak is good but the potatosalad is terrible, the potatos did not cook long enough, they are still hard and crispy like raw potatos. I am disappointed about the potatos since the name of this restaurant is Kartoffelhaus. Anyway, if u want to experience some cool atmosphere in a restaurant, it is a nice choice.

It's a great place to eat, especially if you like potatoes and everything with it. Menu has german and english variants, so you won't have a problem ordering food.

During our spontaneous visit to this restaurant we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is so lovingly and richly decorated that you can always make new "discoveries". The menu is extensive and as you would expect from the name of the restaurant, completely matched to the potato. The dishes we ate were delicious and also at the next tables there were only satisfied guests. A must is also the potato schnapps in the tuber. The service was very friendly and quick.

Great restaurant with fantastic decorations and ambiance. There are also 4 vegan dishes on the menu. We had the hash browns with mushrooms and onions and a baked potato with vegetables in a spicy sauce. The food was good, but as with almost all places in Germany, way too salty.
